Glass Button System

A magnetic hall-effect sensor system used for detecting subtle changes in magnetic field strength to implement a special purpose button system.
GSM Device:

What: An interface system that used hall-effect sensors to detect the movement of a button without the need for a mechanical connection.
Why: Cost benefit over conventional buttons when mounting on glass surfaces due to the high cost of drilling holes though thick glass.
How: Use of hall-effect sensors, “dummy” buttons, PC interface and development software – design built around the PIC16F877.
